The Joburg city offers so many eclectic, artistic & culturally rich experiences, it leaves one wondering just how many hidden gems are yet to be discovered in our vibrant city. However, for this particular excursion, to celebrate city revival, the Newtown district was the place to be.
Housed in the 1911 heritage-listed Potato Sheds at
Newtown Junction, The Potato Shed, an artisan grill house & craft brewery, boasts
a delicious menu, where food is prepared on flame grills &
in wood burning ovens & fire pits. While Work Shop New Town offers an eccentric retail experience,
where local designers & artisans can exhibit their creative talent.Newtown is a definite recommend for a great city experience & it certainly made for a very memorable day spent with some of my favorite people - the family.
